Parent-Infant Psychotherapy is designed specifically to support the development of a healthy relationship between you and your baby. This is worked towards by exploring and understanding the impact that you and your baby have upon each other, noticing what is going well and what feels difficult.
Sessions take place with us all sitting on a mat, so we are at the level of your baby, to help them be actively included in the session. This helps us to notice the ways in which you interact and see one another, which allows us to think about your baby’s developing ideas about what happens in interactions and the templates you hold in your mind.
We will think together about where this may originate from, to understand how your previous experiences influence your relationship with your baby. PIP can help parenthood become an easier and more enjoyable experience and one in which both you and your baby thrive.
Uxbridge Psychology is dedicated to supporting you and your children.
